Pitch pine school cupboard. Consisting of six fixed shelves on the top piece + four fixed shelves on the base unit. The cupboard does come in two pieces. In good solid condition with age related wear + tear from being in a school. (scratches etc). The top right door does slightly bow out but this doesn’t effect its use. The bottom left door has the original makers stamp as seen in the pictures.

Made by the North of England School Furnishing Company, formed in Darlington in the 1860s, with factories in East Mount Road, and Newcastle and Newton Aycliffe. They made every conceivable piece of furniture that a school could require, from the desks to the blackboards.
